Wide variety of top acts will play at Diners Rendezvous Feb. 9 and 10 for cash to buy instruments

Eight different musical acts are banding together to hold a two-day event at the Diners Rendezvous to help budding musicians at Vancouver Island University.
The shows feature well known groups such as the Georgia Strait Big Band, Decadence and Banana Fish as well as solo performers like VIU philosophy professor Oscar Clemotte.
Organizers are hoping to raise $3,000 over the two nights to purchase new instruments for the VIU Wind Ensemble.
