Volunteers converge on Buttertubs Marsh to clear space

Threatened turtles at Buttertubs Marsh got some help from conservationists this week and neighbourhood residents are thankful.


B.C. wildlife biologists, city of Nanaimo environmental staff, university students and community volunteers converged on the marsh Thursday to create places for Western Painted Turtles to sun themselves.
