On Thursday, May 1 over 1,100 students, grades 8 to 12, from all over Vancouver Island and the Sechelt Coast will descend on Malaspina University-College’s Nanaimo Campus.

Beginning at 8:30 am and running to 1:30 pm, students will be treated to a campus-wide range of exciting demonstrations, lectures, and activities organized to show Malaspina’s diverse educational opportunities.
The day will include almost 100 events from Technology, Business, Trades, Fine Arts, Health, Human Services, and University programs.

--Motherboard and Interfaces: A working computer (Bldng 200, Rm 105)
--Moving Art Cars (outside the Art Gallery)
9:30am
--Science Magic Show (Bldng 310, Theatre) Repeats at 11am.
--Pottery Demonstration: Get your hands in the clay (Bldng 325, Pottery Rm.)
--Slam Dunk: Basketball clinic (Gymnasium)
10am
--High Tech Gadgets (Bldng 370, Rm 105)
--From ER to Home Care (Bldng 180, Rm 336)
There are many more photo opportunities taking place like a cake big enough to feed 1,000+ people (outside the Student Union Building before it gets cut at 10am), lunch for 1,100 (outside the Student Union Building) and winding up at 1:30 pm with a motivational speech by Richard Bortolotto (in the Theatre).
