On behalf of Student Affairs and the RockVIU 2019 Organizing Team, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the VIU Faculty/Staff and Students that took time out of their busy day to help with the RockVIU event on August 29th, 2019. What an amazing turnout of students and a big thank you to all of the volunteers for making the event extremely memorable. At this year’s RockVIU event, it was amazing to see some new additions to RockVIU, including the Drum Café, Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Talk presentations, and the Hub Launch in Building 330 (RockVIU Carnival featuring Brandon Martinez, Box of Beats).
In addition, a big thank you to all of the Faculty representatives and VIU student leaders who hosted their respective block parties. This provided an opportunity for students in each Faculty to connect with their peers, upper level year students, Deans and Faculty/Staff representatives. A big thank you to the Students Union for their support in hosting the morning block party which welcomed new students.
At this point, we would also like to announce our Block Party Awards.
