Come celebrate the harvest season at the Artisan Harvest Luncheon and Craft Fair Saturday, October 25.
“The public is invited to this autumn celebration of food and crafts at Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) beautiful seaside setting at the Deep Bay Marine Field Station,” says coordinator Stephanie Richards.
Local artisians will be on hand selling preserves, snacks, chocolates, Halloween treats, home baking, hand-crafted items and more. There will also be an amazing buffet lunch for $15 per person.
Guests are invited to view the public aquariums and visit the on-site touch tanks teeming with local marine life, and learn more about VIU’s plans to hang a gray whale skeleton from the ceiling of the Field Station as a permanent educational exhibit.
The Artisan Harvest Luncheon and Craft Fair takes place from 11 am to 3 pm at the Field Station. General admission is $10 for adults, $3 for students. Children under 12 are free.
