VIU students in the Community-Based Applied Interdisciplinary Research program have spent the academic year researching food insecurity on campus. They are presenting their findings at the upcoming Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Canada’s leading academic gathering and one of the most comprehensive in the world. Read more.

Dr. Timothy Green, VIU’s Canada Research Chair in Shellfish Health and Genomics, is a co-author on a paper that appeared in the journal Aquaculture International. The article discusses events such as extreme heat waves and examines the differences between Pacific oysters that were cultured under intertidal or subtidal conditions for one year. Read the article.
