The Vancouver Island University Mariners men's soccer team showed the rest of the Pacific West Athletic Conference why it was the top seed in the B Group heading into provincials at the University of British Columbia Okanagan this weekend repeating as champions.
The Mariners beat the Capilano University Blues 2-1 in the gold medal game for the title on Sunday.
"It's awesome," said head coach Bill Merriman.
