New research from VIU indicates youth do not trust AI. Dr. Ajay Shrestha, a VIU Computer Science Professor, speaks to the Nanaimo News Bulletin about his study, called Safeguarding Tomorrow’s Data Landscape. VIU has received $600,000 for adult basic education and English language learning pathway programs. The two programs were launched in 2022 and offer courses for domestic students to enhance English, math and science skills to advance to post-secondary programs in in-demand areas such as health care, skilled trades, technology and early childhood education.
