Whether you or someone you know is thinking about becoming a VIU student, or you’re just looking for something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon with family and friends, the event has something for everyone.

Check out live music, explore the pumpkin patch, take part in hands-on science demonstrations and enjoy delicious food and beverage options, including a patio beer garden with the best views in town. There will also be lots of prizes and giveaways, a fun zone with lots of kid-friendly activities, a community corner with lots of local organizations and businesses showcasing their services and wares, and five-minute expert talks.

“We are excited to welcome the community to campus to create connections, see what our faculty and students are doing and learn something new,” said Dr. Deborah Saucier, VIU President and Vice-Chancellor. “VIU Fest is a great way to spend a few hours, whether you’re a foodie, a parent looking for some free fun for your kids, want to hear about the latest research happening in your community or are curious about VIU programming and how it can help you achieve your career goals.”

Parking is free throughout the day. More information can be found on the VIU Fest website, which will include a full schedule and activity map closer to the event.
