Vancouver Island University’s campuses and locations are closed from Friday, December 24, reopening on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
Milner Gardens and Woodland is open for Milner Christmas Magic on Friday, December 17 to Sunday December 19 from 5 - 8 pm. Outside of these times, it is closed to the public until February 2022.
In the event of severe weather, no communications will be going out during this period as no regularly scheduled work is taking place on campuses and locations. VIU’s Cafeteria, Gym and Campus Store on the Nanaimo Campus will be closed during this period.
The campus areas that will remain open during the holiday closure and during severe weather events are:
- The Library Commons (card ID access only)
- VIU Residences
Unless otherwise communicated, VIU will reopen on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, for regular business and the commencement of the new semester.
