VIU AND THE VANCOUVER ISLAND UNIVERSITY FACULTY ASSOCIATION REACH TENTATIVE AGREEMENT
NANAIMO, BC - Vancouver Island University (VIU) and the Vancouver Island University Faculty Association (VIUFA) are pleased to announce that they have reached a tentative collective agreement.
The parties came to an agreement late Sunday afternoon, March 17, 2013, following a productive session of bargaining over the past few weeks.
VIUFA and VIU expect to ratify shortly. Further details will be available at that time. Until then, the parties will not be making any further public statements on the settlement.
VIUFA represents more than 750 faculty, instructors, technicians and other staff at Vancouver Island University's campuses and centres in Cowichan, Nanaimo, Parksville and Powell River.
