Support for women studying at Malaspina University-College has increased, thanks to Canadian Federation of University Women’s Nanamo branch. President Anita Smith, with Treasurer Aileen Scott and delegate Barbara Yee present a cheque for $1,500 to Roger Prior, Director of Development and Alumni at Malaspina. The local chapter has built a permanent endowment fund which generates two scholarships and a bursary annually. Since 1986 the fund has supported 26 women studying for degrees at Malaspina University-College.
