VIU is hosting Spring Break Days at VIU’s Nanaimo campus on March 18, 19 and 20 – including daytime and evening sessions - to welcome new applicants, prospective students and community members.
“It’s an ideal time for students and/or their parents to take advantage of spring break and explore post-secondary options at VIU,” says Tina McComb, Director, Enrolment Management.
During daytime sessions from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, VIU will offer campus tours and opportunities for attendees sit in on classroom lectures, and meet and engage with faculty and other students. Staff will be available to answer questions about the application process and more.
Evening sessions starting at 6:30 pm are tailored to prospective students and community members interested in learning about specific VIU programs. Registration is not required.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities & Faculty of Social Sciences will host evening sessions on March 18, while faculties of Science and Technology and Management will hold sessions March 20.
“These sessions are meant to bring together applicants and prospective students interested in similar areas of study and to provide the opportunity for a glimpse of what life would be like as a VIU student,” adds McComb.
Please register for daytime events by emailing cu@viu.ca. Evening sessions are open to all. Contact Tina.McComb@viu.ca for more information.
