We are greatly saddened to learn that Micah Messent, who graduated from VIU last year, was among the 18 Canadians killed in the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash on Sunday, March 10. He was travelling to Nairobi, Kenya to attend the United Nations Environment Assembly as a delegate for the UN Association in Canada. Micah was an engaged member of our community, contributing his time, energy and talents to his fellow students. Our hearts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.
