NO DISRUPTION TO CLASSES AT VIU NEXT WEEK

NANAIMO, BC – Vancouver Island University (VIU) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 1858 are continuing their efforts to finalize a renewed collective agreement.


CUPE has informed VIU that they do **not** intend to take any further job action that would disrupt classes for students next week. However, other forms of job action may be a possibility. More information is expected from CUPE on **Monday, November 26**.

VIU remains committed to completing a negotiated settlement with CUPE without further disruption to students.
