New awards announced for engineering students

Several new scholarships and awards have been created for first-year and second-year Engineering students at Malaspina University-College.

These include two $1000 scholarships offered by the Mansbridge family, one $1000 award offered by Aurora NanoDevices Inc. and one $1000 award offered by Herold Engineering Inc. These four scholarships and awards are for students entering into their second year of studies. An additional two awards of $500 (Aurora NanoDevices Inc.) and $1000 (Herold Engineering Inc.) are available for students entering engineering at Malaspina directly from high school.

In collaboration with the University of Victoria, Malaspina offers the first two years of electrical and computer engineering and the first year of mechanical engineering. Students can then transfer directly to UVic after their second year.
