Knexa is the developer of IntraKnexa, software that will allow managers to keep track of sources of knowledge within a large organization.

According to David H. Brett, Knexa Solutions CEO, Malaspina students will be able try out the hosted version of its knowledge exchange software at Malaspina in a simulated work environment.

“Students can share information and ideas and work in groups using the worldwide web to solve business-related problems,” said Brett.

Malaspina is offering its three new MBA programs in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, rated by the Times of London as one of the top new business schools in the United Kingdom.

Rob Jeacock, director of Malaspina’s MBA programs said, “The new information-based economy requires a new way of doing things. We’re pleased to work with Knexa Solutions. The collaboration will give our MBA students needed experience in knowledge sharing systems.”

Isabelle Giroux, Malaspina MBA instructor, believes that technology is merely an enabler for creating knowledge management capability within an organization.

“Without addressing the behavioral and cultural aspects of getting people to share knowledge, even the best knowledge management software will be useless,” she said.

“With this in mind, I think piloting Knexa’s software is an exciting opportunity for students to experience knowledge management software capabilities. Using Knexa’s software is timely for today’s students as knowledge management technology is a growing trend in leading organizations,” Giroux said.

Brett, Knexa’s founder, said  “As an Executive MBA graduate myself (SFU), I realize the tremendous value of a well thought out online collaboration system for making the learning experience more powerful and enjoyable.”

“Knexa is a world leader in citizen and customer service, knowledge management and call-centre solutions, with a highly capable team of professionals dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

In 2002, KMWorld Magazine recognized the company as one of the ‘100 Companies that Matter in KM,’ and Knexa’s SuiteResponse was also the winner of the prestigious 2001 Lotus Beacon Award.

“SuiteResponse Citizen Service is a best-of-breed solution that provides local and county governments superior technology to manage and respond to citizens’ requests in a timely fashion and to promote collaboration,” he said.

“Knexa’s break-through knowledge exchange software manages and captures knowledge so that know-how becomes easily accessible across the organization, ensuring organizations are smarter than ever before,” he said.
