‘It’s Worth It’ Recruitment Campaign Connects Future Students To VIU

The Strategic Marketing department is very excited to launch ‘It’s Worth It’, VIU’s Fall 2020 domestic recruitment campaign. Our goal is to connect with prospective students making plans for university studies, let them know all that VIU has to offer, and encourage them to explore and apply to VIU for Fall 2020 studies.

A few key things to know about the It’s Worth It recruitment campaign:

  • New, incoming domestic students are offered the chance to win a $2,500 tuition credit (1 offered) to use for a full-time program beginning in Fall 2020. We will continue to connect with all those who enter, who may be at any stage of their post-secondary inquiries or applications, with branded emails that offer support, guidance and information about VIU.
  • The campaign acknowledges the ‘barriers and big questions’ that prospective students have; for example, by stating that “University can be hard. But it’s worth it.’ Prospective students will find lots of key information on VIU’s services and supports for students, to answer the questions they have.

In the course of developing content for this year’s campaign web page, the Strategic Marketing team was reminded once again of a really important fact: This is one amazing university! We are proud to work with so many dedicated faculty and staff who are fully behind the success of students who put their trust in VIU.

Our 2019-2020 campaign will be promoted to prospective students through targeted digital and social advertising, and through digital and static signage in shopping malls, transit, ferry terminals and airports.
