The Mariner Golf team has produced the first medals of the season for the Malaspina Athletic department.
The team competed in five tournaments over the past two months resulting in a third place finish a second place finish overall for our top golfer, Kyle Hewitt.
Kyle a third-year business student at Malaspina, was just two shots back of first place.
The team also competed in the CCAA National Championships hosted in Cranbrook where they placed sixth.
The silver and bronze medals are just the beginning of many more medals to come in the 2007/08 season.
These medals will help the Mariners in defending their title of top overall athletic program in the British Columbia Collegiate Athletic Association.
