The countdown is on for Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) Open House at the Nanaimo campus, coming up this Friday, October 3 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Faculty, students and staff across the campus are getting ready to throw open the doors of classrooms, laboratories, lecture halls, trades shops and research spaces, where everyone will be welcome to experience university life in Nanaimo.

A fantastic place to start your Open House activities is the Welcome Centre, located mid-campus in Building 300, where you’ll find lots of information and an orientation to the campus from staff and VIU Student Ambassadors. Take some time to check out the many exhibits in the VIU EXPO, taking place inside the upper cafeteria, also in Building 300. Campus tours leave from the Welcome Centre, where you can return for a piece of the huge VIU cake and some refreshments.

Parking is complimentary during Open House, and be sure to enjoy a piece of the huge VIU cake in the Welcome Centre, Building 300.
