Congratulation to Dr. Merv Jefferies for the recent completion of his PhD! His dissertation is titled "The impact of surf toursim on the community of Tofino". He completed it through the Geography Department at the University of Victoria, and his lead supervisor was Dr. Rick Rollins, VIU Professor Emeritus.
A hearty "great job"! To the entire MARCOMM department for their recent win of six international MarCom Awards. These are international awards judged against thousands of entries from around in the world in all marketing and communications activities - not limited to post-secondary institutions. The following projects received awards. Platinum is the highest honour, and gold is after that.
