Exhibition features virtual gallery tour

VIU is excited to present End Marks – an exhibition by our Visual Art graduating students at The View Gallery. The work reflects dynamic practices in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, digital illustration, short documentary and animated film and fills the gallery with colour, form and emotion.

End marks (sometimes referred to as end signs) are small typographical flourishes that traditionally mark the end of a story, chapter or article. They can be found in books, journals and magazines. Here they mark the end of our students’ journey with VIU, which during this past year has challenged them in ways that no one could have predicted.

At this time, The View Gallery is not open to the public due to public health restrictions, but we are excited to present End Marks as a virtual tour in the newly refurbished gallery. The virtual tour won’t go live until Thursday, April 29 so check The View Gallery’s website after that date to view the exhibit.

Everyone is invited to see the great works that our students have selected for this year’s graduating exhibition and attend the Zoom opening reception April 29 at 7 pm, PST.
