How do you achieve personal satisfaction and organizational success at home and at work? What's needed to change how you live your life?
Find out the answers to these questions and more at a two-day workshop called The Heart of Coaching offered through Malaspina University-College’s Centre for Continuing Studies in Nanaimo on June 24 and 25.
Thomi Glover, leader, certified coach, and leadership facilitator will help students learn and practice skills to create the personal life and work life they want, and acquire the skills needed to develop high performance teams and resources to continue their own development as a coach.
"Most modern organizations are being forced to respond to the pressures of quantum change and to do more with less," said Glover. "Higher levels of performance are required from employees who are growing more tired by the day.
"Transformational coaching is the leadership way for the new millennium," she added. "It is a potent communication process that helps people connect to the performance of the team and to things that are important to their own lives. Touching people’s spirits and rekindling what deeply matters to them is what The Heart of Coaching is all about."
The workshop will be of benefit to employees in large or small organizations, community volunteers or anyone wishing to make positive improvements in their work or family lives.
Glover is a Certified Professional Coach, trained through the Coaches Training Institute and Erickson College in Vancouver. She draws on over 25 years experience in a wide variety of roles in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors.
Glover has experience in facilitation, marketing, management, leadership and consulting nationally and internationally. She has served on numerous boards and strategic committees and has an alliance with Crane Consulting (www.craneconsulting.com http://www.craneconsulting.com) a premier group in the field of coach training and building coaching cultures in organizations.
Glover used Crane’s book "The Heart of Coaching" as the primary text for an on-line coaching course she authored for Royal Roads University’s MBA in Leadership.
