CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL FAIRY DAY AT MILNER

June 17, 2013 - 4:47am

Did you know that fairies wear Foxglove flowers as hats, gloves and petticoats? That may have been one of the reasons Veronica Milner, one of the founders of Milner, ensured these beautiful flowers were planted around the grounds.

She had an enduring belief in fairies and to celebrate that, as well as International Fairy Day, Milner has created some special activities for the weekend of June 22-23.

Come and stroll around the sun-dappled garden trying to spot fairy homes that have magically appeared. Then rest at the tea house enjoying ‘Fairy Tea Time’ (12.30pm-3.30pm) complete with a special fairy cupcake.

The gardens are open from 10am- 5pm. For more information call 250.752.6153 or visit the [Milner Gardens & Woodland website](http://www.viu.ca/milnergardens/).
