September 26, 2014 - 1:30pm

Learn about all the amazing things that Vancouver Island University (VIU) has to offer at the VIU Open House at the Nanaimo campus Friday, October 3 from 10 am to 5 pm.

There’s something to do in virtually every corner of VIU – including a chance to build a birdhouse for your feathered friends. If you’re all thumbs, you’ll get hands-on help from students and instructors in the Carpentry program. The end result: a nice little birdhouse for your yard or garden ready in no time.

Building a birdhouse is one of dozens of FREE activities at VIU Open House. Be sure to set aside enough time to take in all the activities listed in the Schedule of Events and at the EXPO in Building 300. Check out www.viu.ca/openhouse for a full schedule, and the “Top 10 List of Reasons You Should Attend VIU’s Open House.”

Parking is complimentary during Open House, and be sure to enjoy a piece of the huge VIU cake in the Welcome Centre, Building 300.
