HiretheWorld has been recognized as one of BC’s Most Innovative Companies by BC Business Magazine for the changes it’s making in the world of online hiring.

Founded in 2009 by Vancouver Island University alumni Doug and Terry Beech and business partner Arash Afrooze, HiretheWorld allows employers to hire remote workers on a per-project basis to tackle anything from programming and design to bookkeeping and copywriting.

With workers in more than 125 countries, the HiretheWorld community provides employers access to a global network of workers who can complete a variety of tasks remotely.

The list of 20 Most Innovative Companies from BC Business Magazine recognizes the most creative organizations in British Columbia that are shaping the future of the province with their cutting-edge ideas.

Innovative BC companies that made the list in previous years include HootSuite Media, Lululemon Athletica, AbeBooks, VanCity and NowPublic.

"Our team is always trying new things, solving new problems and it's very exciting that we're getting to a point where organizations like BC Business are noticing," said Terry. "When you look at the success of some past winners, I think it says a lot about what we're doing and where we're headed."
