Malaspina Theatre is ready for the next act. For generations the theatre has hosted thousands of community and student performances, rehearsals and events. But all those events generated wear and tear on the much-loved theatre.
So, in spring 2016, VIU launched the Encore campaign to raise the money needed to replace theatre seats, upgrade technology and freshen up the lobby area.
The community responded and theatre seats now bear the names of almost 200 donors eager to have the mid-size theatre continue its important role in the community. A standing ovation to all Encore supporters!
