Research goals

I am a human geographer with a strong interest in comparative, place-based, and community engaged teaching and research. My collaborative work looks at the effects of municipal bylaws, urban planning regulations, private property, and public health policies upon marginalized groups in urban spaces, and seeks to understand how housing, health, and social justice outcomes can be improved for those most vulnerable in society. I am a member of the research team for the community-engaged project Walk With Me, whcih seeks to uncover the human dimensions of overlapping social crises in smaller cities in British Columbia.
