Cummins Western Canada donates 600 horsepower diesel engine to Malaspina

Malaspina University-College’s Heavy Duty Commercial Transport Mechanics program has a new addition in its workshop. On Feb. 8, Ross Somerville, Marketing Manager for Cummins Western Canada, donated a 600 horsepower Cummins ISX Signature Series diesel engine to the program, on behalf of his company. Financial boost helps students launch new careers

Jarrid Franklin and James McCormick are receiving a helping hand from Malaspina University-College. The two students each received $1,000 scholarships to offset the cost of their education as they train for new careers.
