AURORA Employee Recruitment System Go-Live

The AURORA team has been working hard to get the first system of the project to go live. After a year of careful planning, configuration and testing the Employee Recruitment System is ready to launch on January 3, 2019.

Information sessions were held for all who were interested in November and December to introduce the changes. Training has been or will be scheduled for those who will have direct use of this new system.

There are two components to this system:

  1.    A new online Job Applicant Portal           
  2.   The system tools that will be used by search committees throughout the applicant review and hiring process 

The Human Resources team will support employees in using the new system after the go-live date by providing:

  1.    FAQs
  2.    User manuals
  3.    Training and support for search committee members
  4.    Support for applicants

 The AURORA team has been working hard to ensure this launch is smooth and straightforward. However, as with any new system, there will likely be some challenges at the beginning as users become comfortable with it.

Because of this, one of the guiding principles of the AURORA project is to approach everyone with compassion and patience. Kindness, respect, patience and understanding are critical in working with those involved, especially in the months immediately after a new system is launched. This pertains to everyone involved – the users, trainers, developers and supporters. So we thank everyone in advance for approaching this big change with this principle in mind!
